Easter on the Island of Krk

The Beginning of the New Tourist Season with a Rich Program and Optimistic Expectations

08.04.2025.

With the first days of spring, the Island of Krk once again opens its doors to visitors, announcing the start of a new tourist season. Following a successful 2024, during which Krk maintained its leading position in the Kvarner region with a 35% share of total arrivals and overnights, we approach the new season with great enthusiasm and a clear vision for the further development of sustainable, high-quality, and responsible tourism.

Although last year’s results met expectations, there is still room for growth, particularly in the pre-season and post-season. For this reason, this year’s focus is on further improving the quality of accommodations, enhancing the overall destination offer, and highlighting the excellent value for money that Krk provides. Its proximity to key source markets, good transport connections, safety, preserved nature, and strong environmental awareness make Krk an ideal destination for modern travelers seeking more than just a vacation.

Easter starts the Season with a Rich Program Across the Island

This year’s Easter, celebrated on April 20th and 21st, is perfectly timed to mark the start of the tourist season. Accommodation and hospitality facilities are already prepared to welcome guests, and tourist boards across the Island have organized diverse and engaging programs tailored to all generations and interests.

According to projections, from April 18th to 22nd, approximately 8,000 guests are expected to arrive, generating 30,000 overnights — a 30% increase compared to Easter 2024, which fell much earlier at the end of March. Of course, weather conditions will play a significant role in achieving these results.
